Tea-Evening “Oolong - The Black Dragon” (with tea-tasting) 7:30 p.m., Tues. 13th Feb.
Oolong refers to a semi-oxidized type of tea - somewhere between a green and a black tea. Although very popular in many parts of Asia, it is still fairly unknown to western tea drinkers.
Most oolongs are fairly light teas with a sweet aftertaste. Traditionally they are prepared as Kung Fu cha.
The tea talk will include topics about Oolong’s history, production etc… and you’ll have the opportunity to taste and experience the different flavours Oolongs can produce. We’ll also teach you the Kung Fu style cha ritual so you can perform your own tea ceremonies at home.
Teas at this tasting will be:
- Wuyi Mountain Oolong
Ever-Spring Oolong
Jin Xuan Oolong
GABA Tea
We recommend to pre-purchase a ticket, we reached capacity with the last tea evening and cannot guarantee availability.
