Tea-Evening “Wabi - The essence of Japanese green tea” (with tea-tasting) 7:30 p.m., Tues. 6th March

The Japanese word wabi can be loosely translated to mean “simple beauty” which describes perfectly the nature of Japanese tea.traditional Japanese teapot Premium Japanese green teas are not so complex as many other fine teas but they do possess a certain finess - wabi!
The Zen-like nature of Japanese tea is reflected in the Japanese Tea Ceremony with its emphasis being the precisely performed simple movement rather than the loud and elaborate.
We’ll introduce the major varieties of Japanese teas to discover the true meaning of wabi.

  • Genmaicha
  • Organic Sencha
  • Houjicha
  • Matcha

We recommend to pre-book your tickets (20 person maximum attendance).

Admission: $16 (includes a 15% discount on any tea purchase of 50g or more)
