Live at the teahouse: Black Market Art - Kids album release party
After our successful first anniversary party, we’re thrilled to have some more live music going on in the teahouse.
This time around, Christchurch’s Black Market Art will celebrate the release party of their brand new album Kids. On route to Greenland (where they’re planning to busk sometime next year, according to their ambitious future plans) and before scoring number two on the Italian Top 40 with a remake of George Thorogood’s Bad to the bone in 2012, they’ll stop in on August 24 for two shows at the teahouse.
They’re known for their energetic, spontaneous live sets, and we’re curious whether we’ll hear some of the instruments that made it onto Kids (I haven’t seen a harpsichord for a while now).
BTW, Kids will be available at the special price of $15 on that date.
They’ll be supported by the gorgeous Ragamuffin Children who have just returned from a very successful tour on the North Island (and will play another show in the teahouse on September 8th) and the Insurgents.
Tickets for the shows are available at the teahouse and Galaxy Records for $10, but they are very limited due to the size of the venue. Be quick and secure your ticket soon!
