Tea Tasting: Tea 101 - The Basics
on September 16
We’re happy to officially announce our upcoming tea-tasting on September 16. As with our previous tastings, the evening will be a mixture of tea-related information, tasting & social gathering.
With Tea 101 - The Basics we’re focusing on the fundamentals, explaining the differences between different types of tea (i.e. black vs. green, oolong or white), giving helpful advice on preparing a perfect cup of tea, demonstrate different tea-styles (i.e. gong fu tea ceremony) and - of course - try lots of tea!
This tasting is the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to know more about this amazing beverage. With subsequent tastings, we’ll go more into depth with different aspects of tea and explore variations within certain tea types.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted the answers to our quiz for free tickets, we were very impressed that everyone got the answers right! Since there can only be one winner, we did a draw and the winner is: Poncho F.! Congratulations.
We decided to shift the tea tastings from the Tuesday night slot to late afternoon on Sundays to give people the chance of a better night’s sleep and less of a hassle to make it to the teahouse in time.
When: Sunday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. (duration approx. 2 hrs)
Where: Ya-Ya House Of Excellent Teas
Admission: $16 (includes a 15% discount on all tea purchases of 50g or more that night)
Since seats are limited, we suggest to pre-book your ticket either via email or phone (3 365 2802)
