Tea Tasting: All the tea in China, October 21th November 4th
In our next tea-tasting, we will focus on Chinese tea and tea culture.
China, being the mother land of tea, has an almost 5000-year long history of tea and is home to an incredible variety of tea. From white to black tea, from oolong to pu-erh: it was all developed there!
We’ll retrace the development of tea and introduce you to cha dao - the way of tea.
Tea has a vast amount of associated terminology that is often intimidating and confusing for the novice. We’ll enlighten you with explanations about gong-fu, gaiwan, yixing, sheng and shou pu-erh, WuYi yan cha and many more.
The aim is to give you an overview and starting point for your own exploration of Chinese tea. We will share some of the more unusual/unknown teas with you so you can taste for yourself the difference between a raw and a ripe pu-erh, a WuYi wulong and a lighter Tieh Guan Yin.
We recommend to pre-book your tickets (20 person maximum attendance).
