Hi,

I am new to tea tasting, yet I have always appreciated tea and drinking it.

I appreciate the list you have compiled and more noted is your review of the Da Hong Pao - the slightly toasty, mildly astringent tea we prepared gongfu-style.

Your wording astringent tea; makes me think of it as a rinsing of the palette or arousing one's taste bud. I was sent a sampler of Da Hong pao tea from Jerry-Ma on EBay whose store in (Guangzhou China) carries this tea and it was most enjoyably a robust tea and full bodied. I have yet to sample more from his samplers since they are so strong. I do not normally drink black tea; caffeine keeps me up.

I was just saying thank you for sharing tea knowledge.
