Sometimes, you just have to say your wish aloud …
Well, I didn’t really say my wish, but I wrote about my wish about more tea tastings in my last post.
And the very next day I got an invitation to a Tea Party (which turned out to be a ‘fancy hat and all frills’ affair) at a friend’s house. It wasn’t exactly what I had thought about in my musings regarding tea tastings, but since we had about 7 or 8 teas in very pleasant surroundings and with a great bunch of people, it qualifies just fine. When I arrived, the gumboot tea and Rooibos wave had passed (but fortunately, heaps of cake and cookies were still around) and we started to get into the more serious stuff right away. My personal highlight was the intimate chanoyu presentation by Yuki. The kids loved it (and had their go at it, too)!
