Ya-Ya’s Tea-Board

News from the Teahouse, about tea and more

Thank you for an exciting year 2010

[ IMAGE: Empty teacup ] As 2010 draws to a close, it is time to look back and contemplate about the past twelve months. It has been a year full of surprises - good and bad - for us, but the good far outweighs the bad. The Christchurch earthquake gave (and still gives) us a good rocking, but encounters with very special tea masters in China and tea drinkers from all over the world through our website have made this a very exciting year.

I want to thank you all for your continued support and I am looking forward to continue importing the most outstanding teas that New Zealand has ever tasted. We couldn’t do it without you, so please accept my deepest gratitude.

To conclude the year, I wish to share some tea wisdom with you:

Take care not to spoil its purity,
For drinking it wipes clean all dust and pain -
A draught of spiritual grace.
From the mountain,
Where it naturally lives,
I brought a tree to my own untamed garden.
The tree, to my great delight, flourished,
And now I can invite my friends over for some.

- Wei Ying Wu

I wish you all a good start into the coming year and hope you will have many memorable pots of tea, shared with dear friends.

Ngā mihi o te Tau Hou ki a koutou katoa
